Mustard is the new kid on the block. Dynamic and punchy this yellow is dirtied up with grey undertones so it works well as a 'neutral' when paired with wardrobe blacks and blues.
I am very excited to bring you this new design after a lot of trial and error! A Tabi boot design has been percolating around in my mind and been on and off my sampling table for ages and finally the design is just right and all the sizes are now in stock.
These Tabi Boots have been handcrafted in soft, fine cow leather and are designed to present the split toe as the hero of the boot.
The boots extend about a 1/3 of the way up your lower leg so I call them are medium height, it's a very flattering length, accentuating your ankle and ending with an angled line that compliments your calf. Hand stitched 'X' s strengthen and accentuate the design.
Lace up your tabi boots with waxed cotton laces that are long enough to wrap around the vamp (over your foot), pictured, if you like an edgy layered look, or lace them in the traditional/normal way.
These boots are made with a 5 cm heel, which (to date) is the highest heel I make (because knees and hips, we respect you! :) ) and thanks to the amazing skill of my last maker Bruce Miller, they are perfectly comfy and easy to walk in.
The heel and sole edge is a dynamic black colour, contrasting with the mustard leather and matching back with the black laces.
1 x pair of Tabi Socks is included with these boots to get you started. Also you can wear a standard pair of socks as long as you separate your big toe from your other toes with a little extra sock fabric before you slide your feet into the boots. Easy!
Lined with black sheep leather and featuring a fully cushioned leather insole of hardworking memory foam under the leather sock. In keeping with our commitment to slow fashion the 4mm thick Veg Tan leather outsoles on these boots are resoleable.
The heel height is 5 cm. Waxed cotton laces.
Crafted on the C width 'Avenue' last for that extra bit of comfort-inducing-width in the toe region!
These boots have been designed, patterned, prototyped and tested in Melbourne by me, Karen Booker. The full size range is then crafted in Bali.
